Holding Pattern
We are currently in a holding pattern. Not over Wanjo, or Jovvo, or Yadme, or Tully or Cache. Closer to the Chena beacon if anywhere. No expect further clearance time issued. Without our navigator, we're feeling pretty lost. In the mean time all prayers are welcome, and appreciated. We miss you Merle.

There is an open lead in the pack ice, which is a crack in the sea. The wildlife use these open leads to travel, feed and hunt.

Oil Island
Oil ridge on an island in the Beaufort Sea. In the summer months they get there via helicopter or boat and they construct an ice road to it in the winter months.
