New Building in Barrow

ConocoPhillips is building a new structure in Barrow to house the helicopter they are flying to explore new oil platform sites offshore.

You can see the helicopter in the background.

BRW's New Runway

The new runway in Barrow is finally completed and ready for use. This was the last landing I will make on 2-4, they closed it down the next day.

It was a beautiful day and a sweet landing.

The water on each side for the fog bank was different colors.  

The natives call it water sky.

Pressure

When there is too much pressure in the pipes they will burn off the extra gas.  In the winter time the heat and light from these burns is amazing.

Left Over's

Leaving Barter Island you can see the carcasses from the spring whale hunts out on the spit.  There were not any bears that day just gulls.
